What CAN you do when a WORRY is BUGGING you?  Pleasant Hill Cougars share these great ideas:

draw a picture, write it down
talk to someone, use our words!
play a game, play with Legos, toys, stuffed animals, friends!  PLAY OUTSIDE
read a book
think about something else, RESET your mind
imagine another place to be, maybe your FAVORITE place to be!
have a "snowball fight" -- ask Mrs. Robbins how!
positive self-talk
work on a project
build a fort
REST
MOVE YOUR BODY
collage--pictures of your "favorites!"
find a way to LAUGH
worry stone, worry dolls
listen to music
have some quiet time
make a plan
pray
spend time with pets

squeeze your muscles tight and then release -- bookends, hook & pull, hold someone's hand

Spring Fling

Tonight is PTA's SPRNG FLING!  
Meet on the Pleasant Hill Middle School track to have fun from 6:00-8:00!  
There will be inflatables, games and FOOD.  
PTA thanks everyone for their support of a 
GREAT SCHOOL YEAR!
Thanks to my first grade friends who had supper at Salsarita's last night and shared their hat with me!  
It's PERFECT for our SPRING FLING!

Break FREE of TV!

I had fun with Gilbert Elementary Students today!  Did you know you can MOVE your body to feel BALANCED?

If you are overexcited, nervous, antsy, "folds" will do the trick.  You could (1) forward fold or (2) monkey

If you are tired, sad, heavy, back bending poses will dust the clouds off your heart.  Try (1) snake (2) table or (3) superhero  

Feeling scattered, unstable, overwhelmed?  Standing poses are what you need:  (1) tree (2) mountain (3) triangle or (4) hero

Balance Feels BEST!  It's Happy Kid Habit #7.  Think OUTSIDE the box and BREAK FREE!

Ready for BIG Fun?!


The most recent "Elephant and Piggie" is A Big Guy Took My Ball!.  The next “Elephant and Piggie,” My New Friend is So Fun!, comes out June 3!  Do you know these good books?  They are written by Mo Willems (Don’t Let the Pigeon Drive the Bus, Goldilocks and the Three Dinosaurs, That is NOT a Good Idea!, Amanda and Her Alligator)  The guy’s a genius—the “Dr. Seuss” of our times.  They are Mrs. M-C’s favorite reads, and they are SURE to put a SMILE on your face.
