It Is What It Is . . .

"It is what it is, but it will become what you make it!"  If you can do something about it, do . . .  that's INSIDE your Circle of Control.  If you can't do anything about it, it's OUTSIDE your Circle of Control, breathe and keep on keepin' on. That's responding well.  That's all you can do, and it's enough.⭕⃝⃝ #mrsbroamhats #CircleofControl #YouGotThis

Votes for Women

It's the 100th Anniversary of the American Women's Right to Vote! I had that today was the day, but I may be a week or so off . . . In researching, I was surprised not all American Women were granted the right . . . African Americans' right to vote was not protected by federal law until the Voting Rights Act of 1965. In the President's Proclamation for the 100th Anniversary of the Ratification of the 19th Amendment: "The road to suffrage was long and challenging, but faith, fortitude, and resolute determination of those committed to this noble cause brought about a victory that continues to inspire today." #mrsbroamhats @phes_cougars #YouMatter #havecourage #wecandohardthings #iamregisteredtovote

Swim Against the Tide

Those who swim with the tide and those who don't matter!

Do you think Mrs. Broam swims with the tide or not?  You gotta be you! Make the world a better place like only you can do.  You matter. #mrsbroamhats #mrsbroamREADS #YouMatter

When everyone is too busy . . .

You STILL matter! Take a deep breath -- inhale and exhale.  Teach others how to s-l-o-w down and calm their busy minds and bodies! #YouMatter #mrsbroamhats #mrsbroamREADS #mrsbroamBREATHES

Small Stuff Matters Too

In Chris Robinson's You Matter, he includes how the "small stuff too small to see" matters too!
Because the COVID-19 virus is the "small stuff too small to see" that matters:  (1) Wear Your Mask (2) Wash Your Hands [for at least 20 seconds] and (3) Be Smart, Stay 6 Feet Apart #mrsbroamhats #staysafe #mrsbroamREADS #YouMatter

Be a Resilient Crayon

In You Matter by Chris Robinson, he shares "If you fall down or have to start all over again, you matter."  In I Like Me! by Nancy Carlson, she shares, "When I fall down, I pick myself up.  When I make mistakes, I try and try again!"  Moving from down dog to plank to down dog again makes me think of RESILIENCE!  #beresilient #youcandoit #mrsbroamhats #mrsbroamREADS #mrsbroamMOVES

We're back and YOU MATTER!

We're back, and YOU MATTER! Chris Robinson reads his book online at PBS Kids Read-Along: https://youtu.be/ltOaIsWXpHA " . . . not everyone is told that they matter. Not everyone is made to feel that their life matters. I wanted to show them and anyone who picks up this book that it does." Thank you, Chris Robinson! #mrsbroamhats Pleasant Hill Elementary School #backtoschool #YouMatter #coloroutsidethelines #mrsbroamREADS

Animals on the GO!

Animals swing, walk, dive, swim, leap, slither, climb, fly, run, dance, float, slide, and waddle!
We didn't read this good book (we had fun visiting and my listener was also a reader today), but check it out to discover how animal babies move:
riding on backs, clinging to bellies, propped on shoulders, perched on feet, gripped in teeth, tucked in pouches, nestled in feathers, and held in arms, safe and snug!

Match animal babies with the above movements:
Great Crested Grebe, European Beaver, Baboon, Emperor Penguin, Giant Anteater, Golden Lion Tamarin, Kangaroo, Coyote #mrsbroamhats #mrsbroamREADS #StoriesforSharingWithMrsBroamThursdaysat2
