"Pennies for Patients" Wraps Up FRIDAY, 3/2!

Note from Mrs. Clark:

This is the last week to collect pennies!

Did you know each coin should show the letter of the city where it was minted, “D” for Denver, “P” for Philadelphia, “S” for San Francisco. How many can you find of each? Graph them.

Friday is the last day to turn in your donation.

Thanks for raising funds to help others!

"Rain or Shine" -- Got Hats?!

We've had a lot of rainy, foggy mornings lately! I've worn my umbrella hat and my yellow rain hat that reminds of the fisherman on the Gordon frozen fishstick boxes . . . but we've enjoyed sunny days too! I wore spirit fun Friday--Mrs. Nichols' gave me a cool St. Patrick's Day hat that is reversible, and I could sport the PHES green and gold! Today was "Leap Year Day" and for February 29, our extra day in 2012, I wore my Froggie Beanie. JUMP right in to fun @ PHES!

President's Day and President Coins (and Bills)

Hope you enjoyed your Presdent's Day Holiday Weekend!

Bring in those coins with Presidents (bills are welcome too) for the "Pennies for Patients" campaign to raise money for The Leukemia and Lymphoma Society!

Here are some ideas for fun with pennies:

*You can write letters to go along with the pennies collected for the patients they are helping.
*You can graph each week how much money you have collected.
*You can group and graph the years on the backs of the coins.

Thank you for sharing and helping others. The campaign ends on Wednesday, February 29.

Glad and Generous Hearts

Hope your Valentines Day was full of love! Don't forget to share the love with this year's "Pennies for Patients" campaign.

Do you have your Valentines ready?

I have been wearing my smiley face/heart stocking cap! Love is in the air! I tried to convert my snowflake dillybopper headband to hearts and will try again this week to see if they'll work . . . I keep losing my hearts . . .

Friday, I again highlighted the "Animal Friends" Mrs. Clark introduced to PHES Cougars. I wore my MONKEY hat to remind us "Monkey Friends" are wild and crazy and have trouble keeping their hands and feet to theirselves . . . Our goal is to be "Teddy Bear Friends!" Teddy Bears Friends listen and are kind. Teddy Bear Friends also help keep others safe.

It's a four day week and then a four day WEEKEND for PHES Cougars! Stay warm,
Mrs. Broam

Bees, Hearts and a Groundhog!

Will the Groundhog see his shadow tomorrow? I'll wear my Groundhog hat today to help us remember to check!

Monday we started a BUSY week so I wore my bees . . . sweater, hat and stinger! It was the 100th Day of School. My son let me borrow 100 LEGOS to help celebrate!

Tuesday, 1/31, I wore my new stocking cap with a smiley face, heart, flower and peace sign. Hope your days are rich with happiness, love, beauty and peace.

Enjoy these last 78 days of the 2011-12 school year!
