What CAN you do when a WORRY is BUGGING you? Pleasant Hill Cougars share these great ideas:
draw a picture, write it down
talk to someone, use our words!
play a game, play with Legos, toys, stuffed animals, friends! PLAY OUTSIDE
read a book
think about something else, RESET your mind
imagine another place to be, maybe your FAVORITE place to be!
have a "snowball fight" -- ask Mrs. Robbins how!
positive self-talk
work on a project
build a fort
REST
MOVE YOUR BODY
collage--pictures of your "favorites!"
find a way to LAUGH
worry stone, worry dolls
listen to music
have some quiet time
make a plan
pray
spend time with pets
hugs
do something kind for a friend, help someone
have fun with your family or friends
squeeze your muscles tight and then release -- bookends, hook & pull, hold someone's hand
dance
sing a song!
face the worry--does it make sense?
make silly faces -- stretch out the muscles in your face!
