No Drama Llamas

Wednesday at Yoga Camp . . .
We read yoga books while waiting for everyone to arrive.
When we gathered, we reviewed the motions for each person's name!
It's fun to the see the pictures of each day's activities.
The BIG singing bowl makes a BIG sound!

We learned about having a Bubblegum Brain vs. a Brick Brain.  We explored the life cycle of the sea turtle to better understand GRIT (Growth Resilience Integrity and Tenacity).  We breath to manage our "Drama Llamas."

We rested . . .
and blew bubbles to practice breathing!

We created drawings with oil pastels.
We read another fun llama story!

We finished up our butterflies.

"Centers" today were related to managing feelings in healthy ways!

We played a couple games . . .
Mrs. Broam forgot to let Hannah introduce the Peace Builder?!  We'll catch up on Wilma on Thursday.

We played the Sea Shell Game for our mindful moment of the day.

We love Yoga Camp!๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿงก๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’›

Today was LLAMAzing!

Tuesday's Yoga Camp was all about B-R-E-A-T-H-I-N-G!  When we breathe, we calm.  When we breathe, we are able to make our best decisions and choices.  Quality breathing contributes to our ability to be the best version of ourselves everyday!๐Ÿ‘ƒ๐ŸŒณ๐ŸŒฌ Check out the pictures of our fun:  https://zipadeeyoga.blogspot.com/2019/07/tuesday-at-yoga-camp.html

Monday at Yoga Camp

We had a "Whole LLAMA Learnin' Goin' On" today at Yoga Camp!

We met our campers and learned each other's names!

We created a movement for each name:

We warmed up our bodies by moving like the sunshine:

We pretended to be llamas . . .
and learned some amazing facts about them!  Did you know llamas have three stomachs? Did you know llama poo is sold for fuel??! Did you know llamas will only carry what they are capable of carrying (1/4 their body weight)?  Did you know they may grow to be 6 feet tall and weigh 280-450 pounds?  Did you know mama llamas are pregnant for 350 days (pretty much a WHOLE YEAR)?!

We rested with a "Magic Carpet Ride!"

We drew with paint sticks!

We read a funny book about a llama and a couch!

We learned new ways to s-t-r-e-t-c-h and strengthen our bodies!

We tried some partner poses today:

We bowled for butterflies!

We practiced our "Circle of Control!"

We explored what to do when you are scared.

Mrs. Broam's daughter, Hannah, introduced a "Peace Builder!" ~Malala Yousafzai~

We practiced a mindfulness activity:

We celebrated why we do what we do!
See you tomorrow at Yoga Camp for another LLAMAzing day!
