Trick or Treat?
Be safe while you're out and about celebrating! Carry a glow stick or flashlight. Don't go out without your adult. Put down your electronic devices and keep your head up. Walk, don't run. Face paint is preferable to a mask and be sure to wear a costume that fits. EYES on YOU

Strengthen your eyes muscles so you can improve your ability to "look around!" Sit with a partner. We used finger puppets but you can use any object.
Look at the object without moving your head. Your partner slowly "draws in the air" lines, circles, Xs for your eyes to follow.
Rub your eyes to relax the muscles after the exercise. We often think about strengthening many other muscles in our body . . . don't neglect your eye muscles!

Hurt People Hurt People
Sometimes people choose to hurt others when they are hurting. We call that "being a shark friend." What is a better way to work through pain? How about take a deep breath, talk to someone, listen to music, be quiet and still for a little while, go for a walk, drink some water . . . make a choice that doesn't leave a mark?! There WILL be pain, but there doesn't HAVE to be suffering!
