Surfer Chick
HO! HO! HO! I'll be coming soon to BEAR gifts for all the boys and girls! Thanks to my teddy bear friends at Pleasant Hill Elementary who are helping Mrs. Broam decorate her Christmas Tree with kindness:
If they won't let you play the Reindeer Games, what CAN you do?
My Grandma Rawls made this holiday hat and vest to wear when she volunteered at Lexington Extended Care! She also dressed up when she volunteered at elementary schools, cleaning library books! What kind of traditions are you nurturing and growing in your family? Maybe solving problems in a "healthy" way -- (1) nobody gets (2) hurt nothing gets broken -- would be a great one? What will future generations remember about you? Today I remember and honor my Grandma's generous spirit and the colorful ways she went about her work in the world!
Run, run as fast as you can! You can't catch me . . . but you can catch the Gingerbreadman in a Porkchop Productions performance this holiday season! The performances are posted on their Facebook page on the Events tab. I'm going (again) next Monday to see them at the Batesburg-Leesville public library! It's worth the trip. :-)
We're managing feelings in okay ways at the North Pole this week! How do the elves feel when making toys for girls and boys? Is it a pleasant or unpleasant feeling? When you feel _________, you can tell someone, draw a picture, listen to music, move your body, play with your toys, read a book . . . it's a an "okay way" if (1) nobody gets hurt, (2) nothing gets hurt, (3) you don't hurt yourself!
