Run and Roll

PHES Cougars are RUNNING this morning and ROLLING this evening!  Thank you for generously supporting the Boosterthon Fundraiser.  Tonight it's "World Wild Wheels Night" to celebrate!  The front school parking lots will be set up as a rolling rink from 6:00-8:00.  Bring your wheels (skates, bike, scooter--no motorized) and your safety helmet.  Parents, bring a blanket or lawn chair to enjoy the show!  TCBY will provide frozen yogurt.  ROLL ON, Cougars!

Tonight's our Watch D.O.G.S. Pizza Night, 6:00-7:00!  We have over 200 registered.  Aaroooo!  

Practice, Practice, Practice

Support Boosterthon to help PHES PTA support learning at Pleasant Hill Elementary School!  Today we met a soccer player from Brazil who reminded us to "score with practice!"

"Curiouser and Curiouser!"

Today I wore my monkey hat to be "Curious" for the second Boosterthon theme, and a kiddo shared a hat he and his mom made for me!  He was wearing a matching one on his head!  The fine print reads, "Make it a FANtastic Day!"

I had to put on my "Pete the Cat" shoes, and we remembered no matter what you step in, it is ALL GOOD.  You can make it a FANtastic day, any day.  You are in charge of how you respond to what happens.  Keep looking for the good in each day, and it'll be FANtastic, even when It's a Bad Day.

BAAAAd idea to be a "Sheep Friend!"  Sheep friends follow along with whatever everybody else is doing . . . one first grader said today, "it's like he's got rocks in his head."  Yep.  Use your brains!  Think about the consequences of a choice BEFORE you make it.  What will happen next if you make that choice?  Have GOOOOOD weekend!

Turtle Thursday

"Turtle Friends" lack confidence. They hide out in their shells and rob folks of the opportunity to get to know them . . . It's okay to be shy, but it's not okay to be a turtle friend. You can make the world a better place like no one else is designed to do! Be courageous and DO IT.

"Monkey Friends" lack self-control.  They often hurt others but not intentionally.  My sock monkey hat moved back on my head in this pic .  .  . Take a deep breath to be more in control of your monkey self.
