RUN, RUN as FAST as YOU CAN!
Maybe the Gingerbread Man should have taken a moment to be still and quiet?! Maybe his story would have had a happier ending if he hadn't rushed without thinking things through?!! Your story will be a better quality one with a little quiet in your day. Focus on your breath. Feel the peace and calm wash over you when you "don't just DO SOMETHING . . . sit there."

Holiday Traditions
Here's another GG (Great Grandma) creation! My Grandma Rawls, my children called her "GG," sewed these hats and vests to wear when she volunteered at Lexington Extended Care, Midway Elementary, and Pleasant Hill Elementary. She also wore them to the Gilbert Senior Center, to bring smiles to the faces of the folks she enjoyed having fun with there. I wear her "hand-me-downs" to celebrate her spirit of giving. She would show up on your doorstep with banana bread or other sweet treat. She made quilts for babies and pot holders for everybody. She sent cards with the closing--"Blessings." What traditions do you celebrate this holiday? Maybe start a new tradition?! Put a smile in your heart and on the faces of others with the traditions you celebrate this holiday.

Who Hat
I borrowed Pop Pop's springy sprongy hat today! It makes think of a hat a "Who" in a Dr. Seuss story might wear?! Do you have a spring in your hat, I mean your step, today? I'm in charge of what I think, where I look, what I say, how I feel and what I do. My attitude is my choice! Here's a great quote by Chuck Swindoll:
“The longer I live, the more I realize the impact of attitude on life. Attitude, to me, is more important than facts. It is more important than the past, the education, the money, than circumstances, than failure, than successes, than what other people think or say or do. It is more important than appearance, giftedness or skill. It will make or break a company... a church... a home. The remarkable thing is we have a choice everyday regarding the attitude we will embrace for that day. We cannot change our past... we cannot change the fact that people will act in a certain way. We cannot change the inevitable. The only thing we can do is play on the one string we have, and that is our attitude. I am convinced that life is 10% what happens to me and 90% of how I react to it. And so it is with you... we are in charge of our Attitudes.”

"Must Be Santa"
Who's got a beard that's long and white? Santa has a beard that's long and white!
It's hard to see his face in this picture but I have my Santa Laplander Hat on today! We're sharing kindnesses at PHES, and Santa is the "King of Kindness." What gifts are you sharing this holiday? My favorite gift is a smile. It's the right price, doesn't take a whole bunch of time, and can be REGIFTED! Try sharing this gift on Monday. :-)
