Merry Holiday!
Enjoy time with your family!
"Call it a clan, call it a network, call it a tribe, call it a family. Whatever you call it, whoever you are, you need one." --Jane Howard
After watching the animated movie Ice Age, my dad, "Pop Pop" (pictured on the far left), named our family "The Herd."

Penguin Pantookahs!
In a Dr. Seuss frame of mind, we are having silly fun w/ PENGUINS today! The weather cooperated . . . it was 30 degrees during the 25 minute morning duty in front of the school . . . MY FLIPPERS WERE FROZEN. We read Worried Arthur by Joan Stimson with 2nd Grade Friends! We reminded ourselves to (1) talk to a grown up we trust when we worry and (2) BREATHE to calm our worrying selves down. We practiced our Santa Belly Breathing -- HO! HO! HO! Next up, Penguin Races! See you at the South Pole . . .
CRANK it up a notch!
At Judy Freeman's book workshop on Thursday, I learned about the great book Crankenstein by Samantha Berger! I shared w/ Family Yoga participants Saturday and received this email this morning:
"Thank you for the yoga on Saturday, I really needed it and the boys always enjoy it. We were able to refer to crankenstein yesterday at dinner. J Much different than the “bad attitude” road my husband was about to go down with our son."
Never underestimate the POWER of a good book. MEHHRRRR!!!
