COLORFUL Friday! Today we thought about our emotions as colors. If you thought about the color blue for "sad," you might have a strong, deep blue shade of the feeling-- for example, "distraught" or a light blue shade of the feeling--like when you feel a little "down." ALL FEELINGS are okay. We just need to move unpleasant feelings in an okay way. Sometimes we can't move an unpleasant feeling all the way to a pleasant one. Sometimes we strive for one shade up--talk to a friend--one shade up, take a deep breath--one shade up, go for a walk--one shade up, etc. Eventually we move the unpleasant feeling to a pleasant one, one shade at a time.
