Life ISN'T a Sluggle with Yoga

We had seven families at today's PHES *POWER* Yoga Practice!  We explored the *Lexington One Power Skills*.
Some students are *WILLING TO TAKE RISKS*.  Can you balance this many peacock feathers?

Mrs. Broam read Slug Needs a Hug by Jeanne Willis.

All the animals had suggestions to improve slug's huggability:
Cat said he needed to be furrier and fluffier and purrier.

Bird said he needed feathers and a beak.

Pig said he needed trotters and a tail and a squeak.

Goat said he needed horns and a goatee beard.

Moth said he needed wings.

Fox said he'd never get a hug without a nose.

Slug's mom had no idea who he was at the end of the story .  .  . AND THE REASON she didn't hug him was she had NO ARMS?!🤣

Can you *PERSEVERE* to fly the bird and then balance it on one leg?

Trees *COLLABORATE* to create forests!

Stars *COLLABORATE* to create constellations!

Breathing helps you to calm your body.

A body scan is another way to create calm for yourself.  These are tools that help you to be reliable and responsible (*ACCOUNTABLE*) every day at school.

What's the most important take away when you read Slug Needs a Hug?  Share your *CRITICAL THINKING* with your family, and then share a KISS!💋😘💕
Our next Family Yoga Sunday will be April 28th @ 3:00!
