There are other things to do . . . No LION!!!
There are so MANY things you can try during SCREEN-FREE Week! One of my favorite options: SIT STILL. Find a comfortable seat, focus on your breathing and when your mind starts to wander, direct yourself back to the breath going in and out of your body. I read a GREAT book today: Mind Bubbles by Heather Krantz (https://www.amazon.com/Mind-Bubbles-Exploring-Mindfulness-Kids/dp/0998703702) It describes treating your thoughts and feelings like soap bubbles. Soap bubbles eventually "POP!" And so it is with whatever you're thinking or feeling--thoughts and feelings come and go . . . The magic of "sitting still" is tuning into your breath. Try it and see how you feel. I feel calmer and stronger when I sit still--NO LION!!! #screenfree2017 #mrsbroamhats
