I'm a believer in makin' your own luck.  The "T" in GRIT is for tenacity!  Be the dog with the bone! If it's appropriate, don't give up or give in, hang on and hang tough.  The more GRIT you have, the more successful you are.  It IS in your circle of control to choose grittiness!
