Mary Poppins Mash Up

We had fun with Mary Poppins' movies and books, the Lexington School District One POWER SKILLS, and YOGA!

We started out breathing like a balloon!🎈

We also breathed like a cow.🐮  There actually is a story Mary Poppins tells Jane, Michael (and the twins, John and Barbara--yes, there are more children in the book version) about a cow who could not stop dancing?!

Here we are working on INTERPERSONAL SKILLS.  These are the skills that help us get along with others.  In the newest movie there is a weasel, badger and  . . .

WOLF!! These characters are a tad deficient when it comes to their INTERPERSONAL SKILLS.🙁

The Admiral is a neighbor of the Banks Family on Cherry Tree Lane.  His house is shaped like a ship!  On the hour, every hour, with INTEGRITY, he fires his cannon.  It's dependable, honest, quality work?! We pretended to be the cannon while holding the reverse plank pose.

We were WILLING TO TAKE RISKS when we rode a bicycle through the streets of London!🚲

We taught parents "ALL Feelings are OK," how to move from your UPSTAIRS Brain to your DOWNSTAIRS one, and how to use your words with you have a conflict with a friend or family member.🐛🌟

Learning how to COMMUNICATE effectively is another POWER SKILL!  Warm up your voice so you can COMMUNICATE best with "SUpeRCAliFRaGilisTICEeXPiALoDoCIoUS!"🎶
